Gelcoat finish

Gelcoat finish gives our products a luxurious and feel, and makes them easy to clean and naturally resistant to mold and mildew. The gelcoat finish is more durable and much more uniform than acrylic, and is easier to repair. But our products are more than just a pretty face!

Barrier coat

Bestbath is proud to be an industry leader in including a barrier coat in our products, adding strength to the gelcoat layer and ensuring a consistent product surface and durability for years to come. The barrier coat also eliminates print through, which occurs when the fiberglass texture is visible through the outer surface of other showers and tub/shower combinations on the market.

First layer of Laminate

A precise level of fiberglass and resin is sprayed and then rolled onto the unit, improving the consistency and  further enhancing the quality and durability of the finished product.

3/8” Plywood Backing

This is where Bestbath truly shines! Our walls have 100% plywood backing resulting in a much more rigid and durable product. Upon installation of the unit, or as the owner’s mobility needs change, a seat or grab bars can be installed wherever necessary without the need to find a stud.

Second layer of Laminate

This layer of fiberglass and resin reinforces the structural integrity of the unit, encapsulating the plywood backing and protecting it from external elements.

Optional Accenting

The sky’s the limit when it comes to getting the exact look you’re after. We can apply custom color accenting to your shower or tub/shower combination before it ships, or with our Designer Series you can easily install real tile onsite to match the existing style of the backsplash or floor.

All of our multi-piece showers and tub/shower combinations feature Bestbath’s patented SnapJoint technology, ensuring that the beautiful walls are secure and easy to install. The resulting tight seams eliminate concerns of leaking.
